When your computer become outdated then it is difficult to find its appropriate hardware in the market. One common problem is that when your old hard disk crash and you need to replace with new one and you also don’t find or want any IDE hard disk for your pc. But your motherboard will not accept anything other than IDE hard disk. Or another case would arise that you want your old IDE hard disk with your new system which has only one IDE port and that port are occupied by your dvd and dvd writer then you are again in the water.
